From first creative piano lessons to building college dreams — we grow together!
For over 10 years, Melody & Chord Creative Learning has been a second home for families seeking meaningful, whole-child learning experiences. From tiny fingers finding their rhythm on the piano to teens preparing to meet their biggest goals, we are proud to walk alongside your family with heart, patience, and purpose. We’ve guided future doctors, engineers, and entrepreneurs—each one strengthened by the discipline, creativity, and joy they found through music and academic excellence. Whether your child needs gentle encouragement, academic guidance, or long-term college planning, we meet them right where they are—and help them grow from there.
“My kids have grown up with Melody & Chord. It’s more than a learning center—it’s a place where they’ve truly been seen and supported.”
Meet the Founder
Ms. Kerri | MIT — a Musician, an Engineer, a Hiring Guru, and a Teacher.
Ms. Kerri brings a rare blend of technical expertise, creativity, and deep care to every student she works with. With a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Applied Mathematics, she began her career in research and engineering—but found her true calling in education.
Over the past decade, Kerri has taught and coached students across all ages and learning styles—from curious preschoolers to high-achieving teens preparing for college. She has worked in private schools, nonprofit classrooms, and one-on-one settings, specializing in STEM, academic coaching, project-based learning, and critical thinking. Her UCLA certification in college counseling now allows her to guide families through the college admissions process with insight and empathy.
A lifelong musician, Kerri also teaches piano with a focus on creativity, confidence, and joy. She’s the author of Charting through Music with Melody & Chord and was invited to compose for a high-tech company’s product launch. Her music teaching, like all her work, reflects her belief in the importance of nurturing both the left and right brain—and helping students connect their learning with who they are becoming.
Whether through music, math, or mentoring, Kerri meets each learner where they are—and walks with them as they grow.
