🎉 Celebrating 10 Years of Growing With Our Students

PLAY | COMPOSE | RECORD

Piano & Keyboard

Melody & Chord offers a comprehensive curriculum built on project-based learning. Through individually tailored instruction, students will learn to perform, analyze, and appreciate their favorite songs.

Composition

Students love to write music, and to play the music that they write. Our curriculum encourages students to think creatively and express themselves. It explores various formats including manuscript, engraving and MIDI.

Production

Music Production is a rapidly growing field that uses computers to play, compose and record music. At Melody & Chord, students will gain hands on experience with the latest hardware and software.

Ms. Manoela

Ms. Manoela brings a warm, versatile approach to music education, helping students build strong musical foundations while developing confidence and creativity. With a Master of Music in Violin Performance, she teaches piano along with a wide range of string and other instruments.

Mr. Trelease

Mr. Trelease brings extensive experience as a music educator and currently teaches music at Bishop Montgomery High School. He teaches guitar, bass, piano, drums, and voice, with a strong background in songwriting, performance, and contemporary music.

Our Non-Traditional Piano Curriculum

Inspired by the structured problem-solving approach of engineering, Charting Through Music with Melody & Chord takes a non-traditional approach to learning piano. Created by Ms. Kerri and influenced by her MIT engineering background, the curriculum breaks music into clear, logical, step-by-step building blocks while giving students room to explore patterns, compose, and create. Students don’t just learn how to play songs—they learn to understand how music works and use that knowledge creatively.
